Original Cyanotype on Canvas | One of a Kind | 2026
Dimension: 51’’ x 35’’, stretched and ready to hang
The sound of the river where I gathered the plants. Their delicate stems swaying in the breeze. The old Chinese pop songs playing from my cassette tapes as I worked.
Somehow, rhythm had been part of this piece from the very beginning.
Across the deep blue canvas, slender stems and scattered blossoms resemble a musical score, as though the river has composed a melody of its own.
Collection: What River Remembers
You Are My Melody is part of an ongoing body of work exploring my evolving relationship with the American River in Sacramento through the plants that grow along its banks.
