Created by layering palm fronds under sunlight. The overlapping lines form a lattice of light — delicate yet enduring, each leaf supporting the next, came together to create something whole.
Palm leaves were collected from Palm Springs, CA.
(Cyanotype is a historic alternative photographic process dating back to the late 18th century, requiring no camera or digital negatives — plants served as the negatives to bring this piece to life.)
Art size 22’’x30’’, custom framed and matted to 26’’ x 34’’.
Artwork is framed with conservation mat board and behind museum plexiglass (99% UV protection) to ensure their longevity.
Important Note:
This is one of my newest piece, the top of the frame was slightly damaged, but it was fixed and retouched with white paints.
